Do you like tasty blues guitar licks? Do you like technically intricate and triumphant bass lines?  Do you like vintage classic rock drumming in the style of Moon/Bonham?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, Fast Ant is the band to quell your blues, rock, and jazz urges.

Use the Windows Media in the My Music Section of this web page to listen to some of the music written and performed by Fast Ant.

Fast Ant, the band, is an original power-rock trio created by Anthony Cannuli, a former member of several area bands (including Shinebox and the SGs).  If you like rock music, Fast Ant will not disappoint.  The band has gone through several line-ups over the years.  The current line-up is most interesting with his father, drums, and brother, bass, making the shows a family affair.  Vince Cannuli is a seasoned jazz drummer that brings an untraditional approach when attacking his vintage Slingerland drum set in Fast Ant’s primarily rock setting.  Dan Cannuli delivers the booming, energetic, and youthful sounding bass lines that help to ground this cosmic trio.  Fast Ant, lead guitar/singer, delivers the classic bluesy and delightfully tasty licks that pay homage to his luminary guitar heroes (Page and Hendrix).  All music is written by Anthony Cannuli.  Such classics as “Termites” and “Shelter” have “fast” become crowd favorites over the years.  The upcoming shows will feature new songs and other new surprises.  Stay tuned for more to come (stickers, hats, shirts, and new/old CDs will be available at this site).

Anthony Cannuli teaches at a private school in Princeton, NJ. He is committed to bringing music into the classroom to further engage his students in the learning process. He considers himself to be on the brink of a new style in teaching. "Bringing music into my classroom helps to further engage the students in the concepts being taught and conveyed. I always say that I'm an unconventional teacher. Learner styles change over the years, just like musical trends. What kid wouldn't want to see his or her teacher play guitar and sing while teaching poetry lessons?"
